Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edmund Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Edmund Compton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Truck! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton avoids the head kick by Truck.
As Truck tries to get set, Compton tries to push him back and clinch up but Truck manages to avoid the attempt. Truck closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Compton quickly recovers to half guard. Compton is not content to let Truck control the position. Compton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Truck trying to control the pace. Compton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Compton is not content to let Truck control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Compton controlling the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Compton is refusing to be controlled, as Truck sits in half guard. Truck is thwarting Compton's attempts to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Truck misses with a few strikes there.
Compton seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Truck throws a push kick but Compton slaps the foot to one side. Horrible takedown attempt by Compton or perhaps it was just good defense by Truck, which made it look bad. Truck scores with a punch to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Truck throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Truck swings away with a leg kick that misses. Compton avoids the head kick by Truck.
Truck tries to clinch but Compton is having none of it. Truck looks for the body kick but Compton saw that one coming. Compton drops down looking for a counter takedown but Truck sprawls and moves away. Compton swats away the attempt to clinch by Truck. Compton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Compton lands in his opponent's guard. Truck is looking to stand back up but Compton counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Truck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Truck controlling the position well. Compton is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Truck sees it coming and defends easily. Truck tries to get to full guard but Compton has control of the leg. Truck is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Truck's head. Compton thows a huge punch but Truck dodges it nicely.
Truck makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Truck. Compton lands a couple of digs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Truck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Truck not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Truck dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bob Truck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Compton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Compton showed some decent athleticism there. Compton not doing much here.
Truck is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Truck wants to improve his position but Compton is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Truck tries to kick Compton off but Compton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Truck wants to improve his position but Compton is controlling well.
Compton missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Truck is holding on to half guard well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Compton feints and as Truck raises his hands in defense, Compton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Compton stopping the sweep attempt from Truck. Truck trying to keep a closed guard but Compton is proving a slippery customer.
Truck has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Compton has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Truck's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Compton looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Truck is avoiding damage well.
Truck has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Truck sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Truck wants to control but Compton is keeping busy.
Compton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Truck moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Compton cracks Truck with a solid left hand. Compton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Truck keeping moving, preventing Compton from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A big left from Compton misses. Sloppy strikes from Truck. Those never looked like landing. Truck wants to clinch. Truck tries to work over Compton's front leg with a kick but Compton checks it. Truck scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Compton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Truck napping and manages to drive through into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Compton looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Compton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Truck to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Edmund Compton will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Truck wants to slow Compton down by chopping away at his legs. Truck tries to clinch up but Compton circles away and keeps his distance. Truck lands with a nice body kick. A leg kick checked by Compton. Compton throws a big counter combination but Truck scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Truck lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Truck misses with a low kick.
Truck wants to clinch up but Compton keeps it at a distance. It looked like Compton was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Truck. Truck throws a head kick that misses and Compton counters with a three punch combo that has Truck backing up. Truck nods at Compton to acknowledge the strikes. Truck is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Compton fails to land the takedown. Compton shoots in but no luck this time. Truck feints the counter takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Truck throws a nice outside leg kick. Truck doesn't manage to clinch there - Compton circles away.

It connects and Compton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Truck scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Truck controlling the action here. Compton is not content to let Truck control the position.

Truck seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Truck wants to control but Compton is keeping him busy. Compton trying to control from the bottom.
Truck looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Truck looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Truck trying to control the position from guard on top but Compton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Compton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Truck is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton is pulling down on Truck's head to control his posture. Compton keeping moving, preventing Truck from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Compton managing to control the position. Truck trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Truck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Truck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
