Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Queen! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Queen jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut. Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A looping hook to the body misses from Diaz. Queen does a little dance to reset his feet. Diaz fails to land with a series of punches.
Queen takes one to the chin there. Queen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Diaz slips a straight right by Queen. Queen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. Diaz throws a series of punches but Queen moves out of range. It seemed like Queen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Queen moves away from the strike by Diaz. Queen throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Diaz is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Diaz takes a swing at Queen's ribcage but misses. Diaz lands a nice hook to Queen's body. Queen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Diaz throws a jab when Queen was well out of range. A swing and a miss from Queen. Diaz throws a series of punches but Queen avoids them all with ease. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Queen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Queen misses with a looping left. Diaz swings for the body but Queen moves out of range.

Diaz scores with a nice strike. Diaz throws a jab when Queen was well out of range. Diaz throws a combination. Queen tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Diaz needs to keep his hands up - Queen had a free shot at his head there. Decent striking displayed by Diaz there. A swing and a miss from Queen. A telegraphed right hand from Diaz misses the target. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Queen moves away. Queen with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Queen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diaz. Diaz takes one on the button. Diaz lands with a shot to the body. Diaz misses with a double jab
and Queen counters with a one-two to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz tests Queen's chin there with a solid looking shot. Queen thows a left - swing and a miss! Queen misses with a straight left. Diaz throwing a counter right hand but Queen manages to avoid it. Queen misses with a two punch combination.
Queen defending well as Diaz loads up on a big left hand. Queen's corner calls for a 1-2. Queen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Diaz throws a series of punches but Queen avoids them all with ease. Queen with a jab. Queen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz. Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Queen connects with a jab. Queen misses with a right hand and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand. Diaz throws the left hand but Queen avoids the punch easily. Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Queen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A decent looking cross lands there for Queen. Diaz walks straight into a right hand from Queen - that's dropped him! Queen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Diaz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Oliver Queen! Oliver Queen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
