Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Shaforostov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charly Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaforostov comes to the cage accompanied by Let it sleep. Jimenez has chosen Matador as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimenez tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jimenez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Charly Jimenez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shaforostov takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Shaforostov counters by moving into the clinch. Jimenez lands a nice elbow. Jimenez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shaforostov pulls him back up using the underhooks. Shaforostov managing to block the knees to the body from Jimenez.

Shaforostov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jimenez did well to prevent Shaforostov getting side control. Jimenez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Shaforostov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jimenez breaks from the clinch.

Possibly, maybe, no Shaforostov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jimenez told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Jimenez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shaforostov is controlling him well. Shaforostov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jimenez manages to avoid it. Jimenez swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sloppy strikes from Shaforostov. Those never looked like landing. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Charly Jimenez! A very excited looking Charly Jimenez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
