Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Lukas Rarek and Kristoffer Fredholm. Fredholm is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kano - Can't Hold Back Your Lovin' . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Lukas Rarek! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 2 losses; Kristoffer Fredholm! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Fredholm fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rarek to the ground. Fredholm is now in Rarek's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Rarek (0) vs (2) Fredholm Fredholm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rarek swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fredholm slips nicely into half guard. Fredholm is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fredholm is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fredholm is looking to take a break and control but Rarek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rarek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredholm is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fredholm is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rarek is just riding it out for now. Fredholm eventually gives up the hold. Still in half guard, Fredholm seems content to control. Fredholm is working for a kimura but Rarek is defending it quite comfortably.
Fredholm is looking to advance position but Rarek won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredholm is looking for a kimura but Rarek is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fredholm to get the leverage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rarek is defending against the submission attempts here by Fredholm.
Rarek moves into full guard.
Fredholm's corner is telling him to maintain position. Fredholm is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rarek is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fredholm is aware though and is defending well.

Fredholm is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fredholm wants to work for an arm triangle but Rarek is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fredholm looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rarek tries to roll over but Fredholm keeps him under control. Fredholm wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rarek keeps working. Fredholm maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rarek could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Fredholm has cracked it and Rarek is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Fredholm!
