Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Waller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman comes to the cage accompanied by Whiskey In The Jar. On his way into the cage it seems that Dennis Newman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dennis Newman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman cracks Waller with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Good standup being displayed there by Newman as he connects with a hook.
Waller walks into a jab.
Newman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Waller looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Newman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Newman connects with a body shot.
Waller misses with an uppercut. Newman saw that one coming.
Waller on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Newman misses with a wild body shot.
Newman lands a jab to the head.
Waller gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Waller wants to clinch.
Newman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Newman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Newman lands with a good body shot.
Waller on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Waller tries to clinch but Newman is having none of it.
Newman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Waller drops his hands momentarily and Newman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Newman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Newman swats away the attempt to clinch by Waller.
Waller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Newman circles away.
Nice cross by Newman.
Newman lands a jab to the head.
Waller shoots in for a takedown but Newman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Newman punishes Waller's body with a nice straight punch.
Waller on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Newman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Waller under the eye.
Newman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Newman gets caught flat footed, as Waller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Waller controls from within his opponent's guard.
Newman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Newman tries to get out of the position.

Waller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Waller wants to pass the guard but Newman is keeping the position.
Newman is looking to stand up but Waller isn't so interested in that idea.
Waller trying to control but Newman is working from the bottom.
Waller stops Newman from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Waller stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Waller walks into a straight right hand from Newman.
Dennis Newman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Newman does it's job there.
Waller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Newman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dennis Newman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Waller.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Waller.
Waller gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Newman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Newman scores with a jab to the head.
Newman swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Waller.
Dennis Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newman works Waller's body with a nice hook.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Waller.
Waller looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Waller is putting a hurting on Newman here, landing some big shots from side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Newman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Waller asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Waller is trying to get an arm triangle but Newman is defending well.

Waller in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Newman is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
