Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Squetsie Doubleday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Scott! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott throws a nice looking combination but Doubleday bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Scott throws a right hand that Doubleday ducks under and follows up with a left that Doubleday also avoids with ease. Scott misses with a wild combination.

Scott looks to land a combination but Doubleday avoids it well. Doubleday moves in looking to clinch but Scott pushes him off. Doubleday fails with an attempt to clinch.
Scott tries to bum rush Doubleday with a series of wild strikes but Doubleday uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The fight stays on the outside here - Doubleday looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Scott keeps the fight on the outside. I looks like Scott might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Scott content to control rather than advance. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Despite being in the dominant position, Brian Scott just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Doubleday with a poor takedown and Scott counters with a series of strikes. Doubleday will be more careful next time no doubt. No joy there for Scott, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
