Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by All Summer Long. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ezekiel Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddy Brandon!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hughes is looking for a sweep. Brandon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brandon in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Brandon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brandon has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Death Valley Training Facility. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Buddy Brandon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hughes throws a right hand that misses
and Brandon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hughes won't be happy with that.
Brandon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Hughes tries to bench press Brandon off him but Brandon keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brandon decides to stand back up. Brandon steps back and let's Hughes get back to his feet.

Ezekiel Hughes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brandon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hughes's waist but Hughes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brandon off to one side.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brandon.
Brandon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hughes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandon circles away quickly and effectively.
Hughes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brandon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hughes to the mat! Hughes manages to get full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brandon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hughes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hughes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brandon on the ground.
Hughes is not content to let Brandon control the position.

Brandon has hold of one of Hughes's legs. Hughes is fighting the takedown attempt but Brandon gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Brandon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hughes is fending him off so far but Brandon persists. Nope, Hughes circles away and we're back to standing.
Ezekiel Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Brandon.
Brandon rushes Hughes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brandon blocks an elbow strike.

Buddy Brandon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hughes loads up on a big right hand but Brandon slips the punch.

and Brandon counters with a one-two to the body.
Brandon shoots in and drives through. Hughes sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hughes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Brandon circles away from the clinch attempt
so Brandon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hughes doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hughes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Brandon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that's the end of the fight!
Buddy Brandon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Brandon winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
