Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lowery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Alex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Lowery! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Alex! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alex takes a body punch but keeps moving. Alex slips a jab from Lowery. Alex with a poor takedown and Lowery counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A slow jab from Lowery misses its intended target. Alex unleashes a big counter combination but Lowery bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Lowery stuffs the takedown. Lowery is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Mike Lowery seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lowery keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Lowery misses the target. Lowery lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lowery. Lowery bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Alex's head backwards. Lowery has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA in the buildup to the fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lowery swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Alex counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Alex. Alex wants to control from the top but Lowery keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alex engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Alex in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Alex drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lowery dives on top into guard. Alex wants to sweep here but Lowery controlling him for the moment. Alex has his hands on Lowery's head, controlling the position. Lowery wants to get up but he can't break Alex's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alex is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alex drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lowery manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alex has Lowery in his guard. Lowery would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lowery wants to stand and escape but instead Alex has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alex throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lowery works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lowery keeping moving, preventing Alex from controlling successfully. Alex postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lowery looking for a sweep. Not yet Lowery, not yet. Alex sitting in guard here, content to control. Lowery is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Alex stays in close to Lowery's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alex preventing the sweep. Alex wants to control from the top but Lowery keeps moving. Lowery is pulling down on Alex's head. It's preventing any offense from Alex, at least for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lowery with a body punch. A glancing blow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Alex has his takedown stuffed letting Lowery counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Lowery dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Good shot there by Lowery. Alex Alex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Alex walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lowery leaves Alex with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lowery misses with an uppercut. Alex saw that one coming. Alex is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lowery's half guard. Lowery is trying to get back to full guard. Alex thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lowery's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alex is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lowery doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alex. Lowery is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alex is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lowery has managed to free his arm - good work. Lowery wants to control but Alex is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lowery is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Alex throwing shots but Lowery is blocking nicely. Alex thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Alex tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lowery controls his leg.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A lazy left from Lowery finds it's target. Lowery is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alex can do to turn this around? Alex fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lowery looks to land a right hand but Alex moved out of range. Alex is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Alex has a takedown stuffed. Mike Lowery has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Alex.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alex. A jab from Lowery finds it's way through Alex's defenses. Lowery jabbing away but nothing is landing. Lowery lands a glancing blow to the side of Alex's head. Lowery is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Alex moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Mike Lowery is winning the standup battle so far. Lowery swings for the body but Alex moves out of range.
Mike Lowery is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lowery scores with a hook. Lowery lands a right hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Lowery throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Alex is looking for the big counter here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alex takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lowery sizes up Alex with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alex swats away the attempt to clinch by Lowery. A jab lands there for Lowery. Alex takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Alex looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lowery avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alex throws a leg kick but Lowery sees it coming and moves out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lowery lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lowery jabs Alex right on the nose. Alex blinks but takes it well. Lowery connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Lowery dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Lowery connects with a crisp jab. Lowery digs a good hook to Alex's body.
Lowery lunges at Alex with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alex's hand. Alex bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Alex tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lowery sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alex somewhat. Alex walks into a left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lowery rushes Alex and presses him up against the cage. Alex misses with some punches.
Alex is trying to pull guard but Lowery has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alex's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lowery doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Alex manages to break the clinch.
Lowery lands a jab to Alex's midsection. Lowery fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alex on the side of the head. Lowery connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Alex's hands. Alex takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Alex moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Lowery fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lowery throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lowery lands a big uppercut and Alex crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Alex looks OK. Lowery waves Alex back to his feet!
Alex is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lowery clinches. Alex is still on wobbly legs! Can Lowery finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alex misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Alex seems to have recovered his senses. Lowery is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Lowery has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Alex is working for takedown but Lowery is calmly controlling the position for now. Mike Lowery has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Alex. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Alex. Lowery digs a right hand underneath Alex's ribcage. Alex let out a lung full of air as it connected. Lowery scores with a nice hook to the head. Lowery wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alex is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lowery to keep the fight standing. Lowery pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lowery connects with a right hand. Alex shakes it off. A lazy left from Lowery finds it's target. Lowery getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowery feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Alex crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
