The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tua scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tua avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Tua sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Tua displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.

Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Tua counters with a nice uppercut.

Johnson darts in and clinches Tua up against the cage.

Tua escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Whack! Tua lands a heavy head kick that drops Johnson. The ref tackles Tua to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Johnson was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Fatu Tua!
After the fight, Fatu Tua was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
