Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yokozuna Asashoryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Krukowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yokozuna Asashoryu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Krukowski! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krukowski misses with a jab, cross combination.
Krukowski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Asashoryu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Krukowski passes Asashoryu's left leg - he's now in half guard. Krukowski missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Krukowski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Krukowski controlling the position easily from mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asashoryu is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krukowski thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Asashoryu can't escape the position.
Krukowski is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Asashoryu is surviving well by controlling Krukowski's body position as best he can. Krukowski controlling the position easily from mount. Krukowski lands a nice shot to the head. Asashoryu is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krukowski punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krukowski scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Krukowski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Krukowski sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Asashoryu is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Krukowski connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Krukowski is landing with some decent strikes but Asashoryu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Asashoryu is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Krukowski controlling the pace for now. Let's hope that Krukowski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krukowski lands a big shot to the head and Asashoryu winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kevin Krukowski! In his post fight interview, Kevin Krukowski started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
