Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Breashers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Breashers!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breashers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Breashers misses the shot to the body.
Breashers moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dillon scoring well with a low kick there.
Dillon dodges the punch combination from Breashers.
Dillon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Breashers swinging wilding here.
Breashers throws a series of punches but Dillon avoids them all with ease.
Breashers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Breashers lands a jab to Dillon's midsection.

A slow jab from Breashers misses its intended target.

Dillon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Breashers sprawls well initially but Dillon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dillon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Dillon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Breashers for as long as he can get away with.

Dillon is stalling here. Breashers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dillon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Breashers has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Breashers wants to stand but Dillon is controlling his arm.
Dillon striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Dillon is trying to improve his position.
Dillon is trying to control Breashers's posture but Breashers avoids it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dillon tries to improve position but can't.
Dillon holds on to Breashers's head and controls the position momentarily.
Dillon regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but David Breashers will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Dillon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Breashers sprawls well initially but Dillon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dillon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Breashers looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dillon trying to control from half guard but Breashers is working away.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Johnny Dillon just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Breashers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dillon manages to avoid it.

Dillon feints and as Breashers raises his hands in defense, Dillon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dillon trying to control but Breashers is working from the bottom.
Dillon throws and elbow that misses. Breashers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dillon's guard. Nice move by Breashers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon looking for a sweep. Not yet Dillon, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillon is working hard here to advance position.
Dillon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Breashers's guard.
Breashers is breathing heavily.
Dillon wants to control from the top but Breashers keeps moving.
Dillon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dillon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Dillon dominated that second round.
That's time! Dillon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Breashers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dillon.
Breashers scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Breashers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Dillon has managed to clinch.
Dillon lands a hook that snaps the head of Breashers backwards.

Dillon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Breashers regains guard.
Breashers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dillon wants to pass the guard but Breashers is keeping the position.
Dillon forces his way into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Breashers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dillon is really struggling to control Breashers but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Breashers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Johnny Dillon just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Breashers tries to keep at a distance but Dillon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dillon prevents the takedown attempt.
Breashers is looking to break free of the clinch but Dillon has double underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dillon has hold of one of Breashers's legs. Breashers is fighting the takedown attempt but Dillon gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Dillon wants to control from the top but Breashers keeps moving.
Dillon is pushing down on Breashers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Breashers is fighting to maintain full guard but Dillon has managed to sneak the leg through.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dillon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Breashers to get to his feet.
Dillon shoots in but Breashers avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A big right from Breashers misses.
Dillon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Dillon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dillon showed some decent athleticism there.
Dillon slows the pace down in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dillon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

I think Dillon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
