Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reid Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierre Phoenix is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe gets caught napping as Phoenix dives in and scores a takedown. Monroe manages to retain guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Monroe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Phoenix's waist but Phoenix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monroe off to one side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Phoenix postures up in Monroe's guard and throws a big left but Monroe blocks it.

Phoenix slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Phoenix has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
