Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Puch might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Breathe. Norman Parke acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Robledo Puch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parke thumps Puch with a low kick.
Puch throws a body shot but no joy.
Parke moves away from the strike by Puch.
Parke scores with a crisp jab that stopped Puch in his tracks.
Puch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Parke has taken the fight to the clinch.
Parke blocking some punches.
Puch being controlled against the cage.
Parke tries to score a body lock takedown but Puch shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Parke lands with a left to the head.
Puch can't get the takedown.
Parke throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Puchs head.

Puch pulls guard successfully.

Puch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parke defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Puch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Parke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Puch is keeping the position for now.

Puch has his foot on Parke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parke works his way back into a safe position though.

Parke throws a big elbow that misses.

Puch looking for a guillotine here but Parke defends easily.
Parke tries to free his leg and advance position but Puch is retaining full guard.

Puch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Parke works over Puch with some ground and pound from guard.
Parke postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Puch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Puch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Puch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parke is one step ahead there.

Puch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Puch looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Parke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Parke controls from within his opponent's guard.
Parke landing some decent shots from guard.

Puch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Parke defends well.
Puch keeping moving, preventing Parke from controlling successfully.
Parke scoring with punches to the head and body.

Puch throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Parke trying to control but Puch is working from the bottom.
Parke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parke trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Puch tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Puch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Parke wants to control from the top but Puch keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Puch is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Parke has his hands clasped together but Puch extends and breaks Parke's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Puch.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Robledo Puch!
