Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Kristoffer Fredholm and Jonthan Henry . Fredholm comes to the cage accompanied by Kano - Can't Hold Back Your Lovin' . The crowd seem to be enjoying Henry 's choice of entrance music: hit em up . In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 2 losses; Kristoffer Fredholm! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 0 losses; Jonthan Henry ! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Fredholm closes the distance and clinches up with Henry , looking for a takedown. Fredholm pushes Henry against the cage but Henry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Henry shoots in but Fredholm avoids the takedown attempt easily. Henry gets tackled into the cage by Fredholm. Fredholm maintains the clinch. Fredholm tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Henry smiles and moves away.
Fredholm dives in for a single leg takedown but Henry sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kristoffer Fredholm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Henry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fredholm pinned against the cage. Fredholm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Henry wants to control but Fredholm is keeping him busy. Henry keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Henry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. That's seven minutes gone in the round. It looks like Henry might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Henry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Henry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fredholm being controlled here, momentarily. Henry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fredholm swivels though and keeps the full guard. Henry slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Henry wants to control from the top but Fredholm keeps moving.
