Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sanjay Singh! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Singh misses with a jab to the body
and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've been hearing that Lesnar has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Lesnar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Singh's head. Singh tries to get to full guard but Lesnar has control of the leg. Singh is staying active underneath Lesnar, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lesnar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lesnar trying to control the action but Singh is working from the bottom. Lesnar is thwarting Singh's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lesnar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Singh is looking to control Lesnar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Singh avoid being mounted?

Lesnar working Singh over with strikes. Singh has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Lesnar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Singh defending well though. Lesnar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lesnar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Singh is just riding it out for now. Lesnar eventually gives up the hold. Lesnar looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Lesnar with the ground and pound but Singh uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Singh controls Lesnar momentarily but Lesnar frees himself. Lesnar throws a big right hand that misses. Lesnar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lesnar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Singh's guard. Singh is trying to get back to full guard. Lesnar missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lesnar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lesnar tries to pass to full mount but Singh defends it. Singh gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar throws a big right hand that misses. Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Singh is keeping the position. Singh looking for a guillotine here but Lesnar defends easily.
Lesnar wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving. Singh keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass. Lesnar throws a big right hand that misses. Singh is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lesnar trying to control the position from guard on top but Singh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Singh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Good shot there by Singh. Singh misses with a double jab
and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singh has momentary wrist control but Lesnar slips an elbow through the middle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar dominated that round. That's time! Lesnar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Singh scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Singh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lesnar manages to avoid it. Singh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lesnar drops down looking for a counter takedown but Singh sprawls and moves away. Singh lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lesnar at a distance.
A swing and a miss from Singh. Lesnar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Lesnar slips a straight right by Singh. Lesnar feinted with a counter takedown. Singh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lesnar's head backwards.
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Singh can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lesnar attempts a counter takedown but Singh avoids it well and moves away. Singh looks to score with a jab to the body but Lesnar is just out of range. Lesnar moves out of range of the leg kick from Singh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singh scores with a jab to the body. A shot to the body from Singh misses and Lesnar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lesnar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lesnar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lesnar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lesnar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Singh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Singh scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lesnar manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lesnar lands a big elbow.
Singh is rocked! Lesnar looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Singh covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
