The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Carboni as Cirus shoots in.
And Carboni tries to counter it with a takedown but Cirus pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Cirus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carboni swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's time! Cirus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cirus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carboni pinned against the cage. Carboni gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cirus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carboni tries to avoid it but Cirus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carboni to the ground. Carboni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A lazy left from Cirus finds it's target.

and Carboni counters with a nice right hand that sends Cirus toppling to the canvas! Cirus scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Carboni finish him?!

It looks like Tom Cirus has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cirus switches off momentarily and Carboni cracks him with a monster right hand! Cirus topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Carboni dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Carboni!
