Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Tyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve rifformato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says rifformato as he avoids it easily.
rifformato throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tyre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

rifformato closes the distance and clinches.
rifformato keeps control of Tyre as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tyre drops down looking for an ankle pick but rifformato pulls his leg out and moves away.
rifformato shoots in looking for a takedown. Tyre tries to sprawl out of it but rifformato keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tyre manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tyre is looking for a triangle but rifformato pushes his legs off easily.

Tyre has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. rifformato is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tyre.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

rifformato is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tyre is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tyre clobbers rifformato with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Tyre has hold of rifformato's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and rifformato manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
rifformato bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Tyre is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tyre is on top in guard.
