Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mugabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Sachz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Mugabi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Mugabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Sachz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sachz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sachz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sachz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mugabi avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sachz.
Sachz creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mugabi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sachz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mugabi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sachz throws a strike aimed at the side of Mugabi's head but Mugabi avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sachz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mugabi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sachz on the ground.

Sachz is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Mugabi is trying to escape and Sachz transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Mugabi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sachz! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Harry Sachz!
