Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donny Bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bag comes to the cage accompanied by living dead girl - rob zomie. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donny Bag! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Williams! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bag blocks a head kick by Williams.
Bag tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Williams manages to circle out of the way. Bag tries to clinch but Williams moves away and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Williams stands up from half guard. Bag clinches up with Williams and pushes him back against the cage. Williams has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bag regains guard immediately. Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bag, up you get! Williams lands a jab-cross combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Williams tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bag tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Williams wants to counter with a clinch but Bag pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bag tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily and Williams counters with a three punch combo that has Bag backing up. Bag nods at Williams to acknowledge the strikes. Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bag with a poor takedown and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Williams. Williams pulls Bag into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. Bag in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Williams pushes Bag off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Bag blocks a head kick by Williams.
Donny Bag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Bag. Bag gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donny Bag. That's going to take a lot out of him. Williams is trying to trip Bag. He has hold of a leg but Bag is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams gets to his feet - Bag follows without any prompting. Bag tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bag fails with the takedown and Williams counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Williams told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Williams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Williams throws a head kick that half lands.
Bag is rocked! Bag looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Whack! Williams lands a heavy head kick that drops Bag. The ref tackles Williams to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Bag was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ken Williams!
