Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Berendt Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alaskan Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berendt Hansen had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Berendt Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alaskan Salmon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen tries to clinch but Salmon moves out of range.
Hansen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hansen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salmon sprawls well initially but Hansen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Salmon is trying to get back to full guard.
Salmon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Salmon.
Hansen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salmon is trying to keep Hansen in close.
Hansen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hansen wants to control from the top but Salmon keeps moving.
Hansen throwing strikes from guard but Salmon blocks nicely.
Salmon wants to sweep but no luck.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salmon misses with a double jab.
Salmon clobbers Hansen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Berendt Hansen has been cut.
Salmon misses with a wild body shot.
Hansen misses with a body kick.
Hansen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Salmon wants to get back to full guard.
Hansen is looking for a kimura but Salmon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hansen to get the leverage.
Salmon gets full guard.
Salmon has a closed guard, preventing Hansen from standing up.
Salmon looking for a guillotine here but Hansen defends easily.
Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salmon on the ground.
Hansen pushes down on Salmon's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Salmon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hansen is looking for a kimura here.
Salmon wants to get back to full guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Salmon manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hansen wants to control from the top but Salmon keeps moving.
Hansen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Salmon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Salmon looks gassed!
Salmon thows a body shot but no joy.
Salmon gets caught flat footed, as Hansen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salmon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hansen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hansen looking to sit in guard and control but Salmon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hansen tries to strike from the bottom.
Salmon slips nicely into half guard.
Hansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Salmon trying to mount his opponent but Hansen defends it.
Hansen tries to roll over but Salmon keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Salmon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hansen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Salmon is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hansen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Salmon's body to avoid the submission. Salmon has instead reached around Hansen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Salmon arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Alaskan Salmon!
