Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boffalo shoots in and bounces Matsushina off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Matsushina trying to control the position.
Boffalo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Matsushina is proving hard to escape from.
Matsushina manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boffalo manages to get himself to full guard.
Boffalo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matsushina is one step ahead there.
Matsushina sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Boffalo's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boffalo is looking to control Matsushina's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boffalo avoid being mounted?
Matsushina takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Boffalo really is a fat lump.

Matsushina landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Boffalo is staying active underneath Matsushina, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Matsushina seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Matsushina is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boffalo is just riding it out for now. Matsushina eventually gives up the hold.
Matsushina tries to pass to full mount but Boffalo defends it.
Matsushina is looking to take a break and control but Boffalo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boffalo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boffalo tries to get out of the position.
