PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Victor Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Litt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Thunderstruck" -AC/DC. Victor Steel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Louis Litt's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots and misses

and Litt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Litt.
Steel looking for a takedown.
Litt is looking for a takedown.
Steel fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Litt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Litt as he avoids it easily.
No luck for Steel with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Steel shoots in looking for a takedown but Litt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Litt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Litt is looking for a triangle but Steel pushes his legs off easily.
Steel with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Litt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Steel stacks Litt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Steel!
Steel trying to control the action but Litt is working from the bottom.
Steel cracks Litt with a big elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Litt keeps working.
Litt is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Litt on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Steel happy to just control the position for now.
Steel landing a few strikes.
Litt is looking to regain half guard here but Steel keeps moving and retains side control.
Litt takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Litt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Steel taking a break here but Litt is having none of it and regains half guard.
Steel works his way into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steel postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Litt in real trouble here! The ref calls for Litt to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Steel!
