Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonqw Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanchai Suya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonqw Fray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kanchai Suya!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Suya - that will leave a mark!
Fray lands a jab to the head.
Suya connects with a leg kick. Fray looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Suya lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fray's sensitive parts.
Fray misses with a right hand
and Suya makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fray looks to land a right hand but Suya moved out of range.
Fray walks forward, straight into a front kick from Suya.
Suya throws a hook but Fray avoids it easily.
Fray shoots for a double leg takedown but Suya sprawls well. He's pushed Fray's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Suya on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fray throws out a powerful jab.
Fray throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fray scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Suya leaves Fray with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fray avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fray ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Suya moves away.

A thudding body kick lands there by Suya!

Fray tries to keep at a distance but Suya has taken the fight into the clinch.

Fray is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Suya can't fight it off and eventually Fray manages to take the fight to the floor. Suya looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Suya wants to stand and escape but Fray is having none of it.
Fray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Suya swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Suya is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Fray wants to control from the top but Suya keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Suya wants to stand but Fray is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Suya lets loose with a powerful body kick. Fray will feel that in the morning.
Fray is looking to score with low kicks.
Suya looks to land a left hand but Fray moved out of range nicely.
Fray changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Suya, right into the meat.

Suya gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Fray is trying to drag Suya to the mat but Suya just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Suya as he jumps to the side.
Suya feints and then cracks Fray's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fray down.
Suya throws a lazy right hand but Fray sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fray blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Fray successfully pulls guard.
Suya must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fray has a closed guard, preventing Suya from standing up.
Fray might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Suya is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
