PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Biernat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Biernat's choice of entrance music: Aleja Gwiazd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karol Biernat!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Biernat.


It looks like Max Wallace has been cut.
Wallace takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Biernat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side.
Biernat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wallace appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Wallace tries for a takedown but Biernat circles away easily
and Biernat counters with a right hand to the body.
Wallace misses with a takedown attempt - Biernat sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Biernat moves into the clinch.
Wallace swings wildly with an uppercut but Biernat uses good head movement to avoid it.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wallace just misses with a elbow thrown towards Biernat's brow.
Wallace jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Biernat walks away with a smile on his face. Wallace gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Biernat jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Biernat swinging wildly here.
Biernat has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wallace keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Biernat's efforts to push away.

Biernat cracks Wallace with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Biernat has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch but Biernat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
We've been informed that Biernat has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Biernat jumps guard but Wallace stands there with Biernat around his waist. Biernat gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Biernat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Biernat manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Karol Biernat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Biernat counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wallace tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Biernat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wallace is fighting to break Biernat's control of his arms but Biernat is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Wallace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wallace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Biernat uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Biernat pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
As Biernat tries to get set, Wallace tries to push him back and clinch up but Biernat manages to avoid the attempt.
Biernat scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


Wallace is rocked!

and Biernat counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Wallace! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Biernat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karol Biernat!
Karol Biernat tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
