Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Art Vanderlay!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andonov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vanderlay's guard.

It looks like Art Vanderlay has been cut.
Andonov is in close to Vanderlay's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Andonov trying to control but Vanderlay is working from the bottom.
Vanderlay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Andonov wants to control from the top but Vanderlay keeps moving.

Vanderlay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Andonov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Andonov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vanderlay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Andonov has managed to get both his arms back between Vanderlay's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vanderlay enables Andonov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vanderlay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Andonov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
