The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dotson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It appears Dotson was looking to counter with a kick there.
Dudley looking to score a takedown here. Dotson is defending well but Dudley drives through and ends up in Dotson's guard.

Dudley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dotson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dotson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dudley is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dotson trying to keep a closed guard but Dudley is proving a slippery customer.

Dotson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dudley defends well.
Dudley passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Dudley is nestled in close to Dotson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dotson pushes Dudley off looking to stand but Dudley dives back in and keeps control.
