The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skull closes the distance and clinches.
Thiago wants to get back to striking at distance but Skull won't allow it.

Skull turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Skull trying to control the position but Thiago is working away.

Skull really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thiago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Skull wants to lay and pray for a moment but Thiago keeps working.

so Skull counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Skull stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thiago swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thiago is trying to keep Skull in close.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thiago has his foot on Skull's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skull works his way back into a safe position though.

He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
