Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ferris Bueller Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Simone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bueller Jr comes to the ring accompanied by Twist And Shout. Simone has chosen If You Got The Money as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bueller Jr scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bueller Jr fails in his attempt to clinch.
And Simone tries to counter it with a takedown but Bueller Jr pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Simone throws a looping overhand right but Bueller Jr ducks down to avoid it.

Bueller Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Simone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Simone wants to control but Bueller Jr is keeping him busy.
Simone tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Bueller Jr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Simone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Simone jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bueller Jr is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bueller Jr and Simone has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Simone is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bueller Jr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bueller Jr shrugs it off.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
