Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'm Fat by Wierd Al. Joe Johnson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira misses with a kick to the body.
Johnson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Pereira is just out of range.
Johnson throws a combination that misses
and Pereira counters by clinching up.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Johnson is trying to drag Pereira to the mat but Pereira just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pereira has Johnson pushed against the cage.

Pereira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pereira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Pereira's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pereira looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Pereira will probably get the nod.

Pereira has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position.

My spies in Bi-Polar Asylum LV's #1 Public Training Center inform me that Johnson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pereira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pereira is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Johnson rolls with it to try and escape but Pereira cranks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
