Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Point Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paha Hemmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Paha Hemmo enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Point Fighter! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paha Hemmo! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hemmo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hemmo wants to sweep but no luck. Fighter is stalling in the full guard. Hemmo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fighter is one step ahead there. Our spies down at at Russian Top Team Elite Gym inform us that Hemmo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter throwing strikes from guard but Hemmo blocks nicely. Hemmo wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter is stalling in the full guard. Hemmo looking for a sweep. Not yet Hemmo, not yet. Fighter throwing strikes from guard but Hemmo blocks nicely. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Hemmo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fighter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fighter lands a glancing blow to the side of Hemmo's head. Fighter throws a poor cross that misses
and Fighter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hemmo tries to bum rush Fighter with a series of wild strikes but Fighter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hemmo throws a one two combo.
It looks like Point Fighter has been cut. A shot to the liver by Hemmo. Beautiful body shot. Fighter rushes Hemmo and presses him up against the cage. Hemmo lands a nice elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fighter tries to score a body lock takedown but Hemmo shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fighter lands a shot to the body. Fighter misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hemmo looking to slow down the pace here. Hemmo tries to work over Fighter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Fighter works on Hemmo's body with a couple of short punches. Fighter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Fighter looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hemmo gets caught flat footed, as Fighter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fighter is fighting to break Hemmo's control of his arms but Hemmo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hemmo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hemmo stopping the sweep attempt from Fighter. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hemmo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hemmo preventing the sweep. Hemmo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hemmo trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hemmo manages to get himself to full guard.
Fighter landing some decent shots from guard. Fighter throws an elbow that misses. Hemmo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fighter's guard. Nice move by Hemmo! Hemmo wants to pass the guard but Fighter is keeping the position. Hemmo is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hemmo looking to sit in guard and control but Fighter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Point Fighter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Point Fighter's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
A slow jab from Fighter misses its intended target. Fighter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hemmo. Hemmo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hemmo throws a lazy right hand but Fighter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hemmo jabs Fighter right on the nose. Fighter blinks but takes it well. Fighter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fighter throws a body shot but no joy. Fighter sets himself, and Hemmo steps forward looking for the clinch! Fighter avoids it this time. Fighter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hemmo to the ground. Fighter is now in Hemmo's guard. Hemmo keeping full guard, as Fighter tries to pass. Fighter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter lands with an overhand left. Fighter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hemmo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fighter drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hemmo scores with a sloppy right hand. Fighter should have avoided that one. Hemmo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fighter.
Paha Hemmo seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fighter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hemmo circles away quickly and effectively. Fighter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fighter shoots for a double leg takedown but Hemmo sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fighter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hemmo on the side of the head. Fighter with a body punch. A glancing blow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hemmo misses with a jab to the body
and Fighter counters with a straight right hand. Fighter tries to clinch but Hemmo moves out of range. Hemmo wants to counter with a clinch but Fighter pushes him away. Hemmo misses with a few strikes there.
Hemmo dips to his left and cracks Fighter with an uppercut! Fighter lands a two punch combo.
Fighter darts in looking for a takedown but Hemmo gets double underhooks and turns Fighter into the cage. Fighter shoots in looking for a takedown but Hemmo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Point Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hemmo cracks a nice hook into Fighter's ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Hemmo lands with a nice body punch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hemmo trying to control the position but instead, Fighter has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hemmo into the cage. Hemmo misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hemmo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Hemmo lands a shoulder strike. Fighter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter tests Hemmo's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nice shot lands for Fighter. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hemmo misses with a two punch combination.

Hemmo connects with a body shot. Fighter throws a series of punches but Hemmo moves out of range. Fighter with a hook. Hemmo needs to keep his hands up - Fighter had a free shot at his head there. Hemmo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fighter scores with a takedown into Hemmo's guard. Hemmo is trying to control the position but Fighter postures up. Fighter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fighter throws a right and a left that both miss. Hemmo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fighters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A punch lands to the side of Fighter 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fighter misses with a shot to the body and Hemmo counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hemmo looks to throw an elbow but misses. Fighter has clasped his hands together around Hemmo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hemmo tries to bench press Fighter off him but Fighter keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hemmo is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Hemmo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Fighter.
Fighter working the head and body with strikes. Fighter remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Hemmo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fighter in side control lands a decent elbow. Hemmo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hemmo wants to control but Fighter is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fighter is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fighter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fighter is stalling here. Hemmo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Fighter seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hemmo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Fighter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fighter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter wants to work for an arm triangle but Hemmo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hemmo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fighter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fighter's back! Hemmo avoiding Fighter 's attempts to control his hands. Fighter covering up well and avoiding damage. Fighter is trying to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fighter staying busy and making it hard for Hemmo to control. Fighter tries to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Point Fighter. I think Fighter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
