Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Colins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karate Kid could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ben Colins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karate Kid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ben Colins! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colins throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Colins instigates a clinch. Colins is trying to break the clinch but Kid is controlling him. Kid lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A hook to the body from Colins.
Kid's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Colins closes the distance and clinches. Kid is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Colins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kid prevents Colins from breaking the clinch. Kid digs a right hand into Colins's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Colins's gas tank. Colins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kid is keeping busy. Colins avoids a wild elbow strike from Kid.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Kid's face as he tries to break the clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kid. Kid avoids the elbow strike from Colins, against the ropes.
Kid manages to break the clinch.
Kid throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Colins fails in his attempt to clinch. A punch combination from Colins misses. Kid circles away from the clinch attempt and Kid counters with an outside leg kick.

Kid throws a head kick that Colins semi-blocks.

Kid looks to land a combination but Colins avoids it well. Colins is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Colins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Colins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kid tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Colins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kid swings wildly with an uppercut but Colins uses good head movement to avoid it. Colins stalling in the clinch.
Colins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Kid keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Colins's efforts to push away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Karate Kid will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Kid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kid lands a nice hook to Colins's body. Colins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Colins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kid, pushing him back against the ropes. Colins is trying to stall.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kid. Kid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Colins can do to turn this around? Colins keeps control of Kid as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kid taking a breather. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Colins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Karate Kid dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kid tries to score with a low kick but Colins moves his leg out of the way. Karate Kid is winning the standup battle so far. Kid throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Karate Kid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Colins forces Kid back against the ropes and clinches. Colins has had enough of the clinch but Kid keeps him there for the moment. Colins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Kid escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Colins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kid lands a right hook to the body.

Colins sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Colins crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kid - the referee stops the clock and Colins gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kid. Colins manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Colins tries to clinch up. Colins throws a series of punches but Kid avoids them all with ease. Colins tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kid manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kid wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Kid throws a body shot but no joy. Kid scores with a head kick. Colins tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

And that's the end of the fight! Karate Kid showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
