Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gab Batista! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jendri Pitoy! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitoy misses with a combination
and Batista counters by clinching up. Pitoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Batista is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pitoy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gab Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pitoy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Batista counters with a left and a right that stings Pitoy. Pitoy looks to land a combination but Batista avoids it well. Pitoy just misses with a punch to the body.

and Pitoy counters with a three punch combo that has Batista backing up. Batista nods at Pitoy to acknowledge the strikes. Batista fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pitoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Batista. Batista appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Batista pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Batista throws a head kick that misses and Pitoy counters with a one-two to the body. Pitoy clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitoy is trying to break the clinch but Batista has him pressed against the cage. Pitoy throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pitoy blocks a body shot from Batista. Pitoy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A short right from Pitoy on the inside. Knees in the clinch landing for Pitoy.
Batista is breathing heavily. Batista has had enough of the clinch but Pitoy keeps him there for the moment. Pitoy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Batista throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pitoys head. Pitoy lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Gab Batista has been cut. Pitoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pitoy instigates a clinch. Pitoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pitoy lands with a nice body kick. Pitoy closes the distance and clinches. Batista has had enough of the clinch but Pitoy keeps him there for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pitoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pitoy tries a head kick but it misses.
Pitoy throws a half hearted mid kick. Batista throws a quick counter head kick but Pitoy was just out of range. Pitoy tries to clinch up but Batista circles away and keeps his distance. Batista gets tackled into the cage by Pitoy. Pitoy maintains the clinch. Pitoy crunches a lovely knee into Batista's ribcage. Pitoy breaks the clinch.
Pitoy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pitoy gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pitoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Batista swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pitoy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Pitoy throws a right and a left that both miss. Pitoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Batista.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Batista or perhaps it was just good defense by Pitoy, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him. Batista misses with a body shot.
Batista thows a leg kick but Pitoy checks it and Pitoy counters with a crisp one two that drops Batista! Pitoy thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Batista to his feet! Batista is in big trouble!
Batista is rocked! Pitoy closes the distance and clinches. Oh Batista is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pitoy lands with a light punch inside. Batista escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pitoy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batista.
Pitoy gets a clinch. Batista tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Batista is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pitoy to keep the fight standing. Batista is pressed against the cage. Pitoy pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Batista! Two more big strikes from Pitoy and Batista crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
