Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leif Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauri Lintunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leif Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lauri Lintunen! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero fails with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Romero is defended easily by Lintunen. Romero with a lazy takedown attempt and Lintunen moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leif Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Romero pulls guard successfully.
Lintunen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lintunen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Lintunen's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lintunen duly obliges.
It looks like Leif Romero has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And Lintunen tries to counter it with a takedown but Romero pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lintunen throws a head kick that misses. Romero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lintunen avoids it really well and circles away. Romero shoots in but no luck this time. Lintunen moves into range and clinches up with Romero. Romero landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Lintunen breaks from the clinch.
Lintunen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lintunen rushes Romero and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Romero is trying to pull guard but Lintunen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Lintunen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Romero to keep the fight standing. Romero fails to pull guard.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lintunen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Lintunen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lintunen forces Romero back against the cage and clinches. Romero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Romero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lintunen just stands there and leans against the cage. Lintunen decides to pull guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lintunen has his hands on Romero's head, controlling the position. Lintunen looking for subs off his back but Romero has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero wants to take a breather but Lintunen is having none of it. Romero is working for a kimura but Lintunen is defending it quite comfortably.
Lintunen is looking to get back to full guard here but Romero has managed to pass to side control instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lintunen regains half guard. Lintunen gets full guard. Lintunen keeping moving, preventing Romero from controlling successfully. Romero stopping the sweep attempt from Lintunen. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lintunen pushes Romero off and gets back to his feet.
Lintunen connects with a high kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lauri Lintunen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Leif Romero's cut. That's time! Romero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lintunen is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Romero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lintunen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The fighters circle, before Lintunen throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Romero's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Lintunen lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
