The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez slips under a jab from Jhonson.
Jhonson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alvarez.
Alvarez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Jhonson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alvarez.
Jhonson unleashes a big counter combination but Alvarez bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jhonson jabs Alvarez right on the nose. Alvarez blinks but takes it well.

Jhonson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Alvarez closes the distance and clinches up with Jhonson, looking for a takedown. Alvarez pushes Jhonson against the cage but Jhonson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Jhonson counters with a three punch combo that has Alvarez backing up. Alvarez nods at Jhonson to acknowledge the strikes.
Alvarez looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jhonson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jhonson tests Alvarez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jhonson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Jhonson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Alvarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Jhonson counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Alvarez to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Jhonson!
