Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Fausset (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reis Monson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frederick Fausset! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reis Monson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fausset feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Monson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fausset won't allow Monson to sweep him here. Fausset thows a big elbow that misses. Monson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fausset is one step ahead there. Monson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fausset keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fausset is bucking up trying to escape but Monson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Fausset is trying desperately to improve position. Monson has hold of Fausset's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fausset manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Monson fails to move to back control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fausset is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Monson wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Fausset is in all sorts of trouble here.
Monson moves to back control. Fausset tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Fausset is trying to escape the mount.
Monson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Fausset working to try and regain half guard.
Fausset tries to hold on but Monson postures up. Monson is going olschool here, as he tries to force Fausset to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fausset shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fausset sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Monson wants to pass to mount but Fausset is defending the position. Fausset is looking to improve his position.
Monson is pressing down on Fausset's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fausset is holding on for now. Fausset trying to control but Monson postures up.
Monson wants to take a breather but Fausset is having none of it. Fausset tries to roll over but Monson keeps him under control. Fausset moves into full guard.
Monson trying to control the position from guard on top but Fausset is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Monson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Monson with a lazy takedown attempt and Fausset counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monson is looking to regain half guard here but Fausset keeps moving and retains side control. Fausset working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Monson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fausset wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fausset is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Monson has escaped the position, nice work there. Monson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Monson wants to get back to full guard. Fausset wants to control but Monson is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Monson works his way to full guard. Good work. Fausset trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Monson is trying to keep Fausset in close.
Fausset drops back looking for a leg! Monson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monson manages to kick Fausset off! Fausset jumps back into Monson's guard. Fausset won't allow Monson to sweep him here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fausset tries to clinch there but Monson circles away.
Fausset closes the distance and lands a one-two. Fausset ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monson moves away. Monson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fausset.
Monson with a lazy takedown attempt and Fausset counters with a nice double leg into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frederick Fausset dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fausset throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fausset swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reis Monson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fausset smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Fausset is looking to clinch. Fausset closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Monson wants to control but Fausset is keeping busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Monson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Monson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fausset's guard. Fausset is looking for a triangle but Monson pushes his legs off easily.
Monson trying to control but Fausset is working from the bottom. Fausset is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Monson moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Monson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Fausset trying to control the position from guard on top but Monson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fausset postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fausset looking to pass the guard. Monson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fausset manages to get himself to full guard.
Monson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fausset is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Monson wants to control from the top but Fausset keeps moving. Fausset looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Monson wants to control from the top but Fausset keeps moving. Fausset trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fausset tries for a takedown but Monson circles away easily and Monson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Monson. Fausset has his foot on Monson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Monson works his way back into a safe position though. Monson trying to control the position from guard on top but Fausset is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Monson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fausset escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Monson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Monson trying to control the position from guard on top but Fausset is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Monson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fausset has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Monson is looking to defend but Fausset has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Monson! Fausset pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Monson taps out and this one is all over!
