Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Sofa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Huerta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Sofa! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huerta instigates a clinch. Huerta misses with a punch on the inside.
Sofa gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Huerta is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sofa controlling from the top position. Sofa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Huerta is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huerta working for a triangle but Sofa defends it easily.
Sofa controlling from the top position. Sofa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Huerta's guard. Sofa slows the pace down in half guard. Sofa is working for a kimura but Huerta is defending it quite comfortably.

Sofa is taking a breather. Huerta says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Huerta makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Huerta. Huerta is breathing heavily. Sofa passes Huerta's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Huerta is in trouble now - Sofa has advanced to mount!

Sofa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Huerta is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sofa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sofa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sofa working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sofa landing strikes, looking to finish! Sofa has control of Huerta's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Huerta regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Huerta is desperately trying to improve his position but Sofa has a good base and remains in mount. BOOM! Sofa connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sofa performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sofa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I looks like Sofa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Joe Sofa just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Huerta tries to clinch up. Max Huerta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Huerta tries to clinch up. Huerta tries to clinch up but Sofa circles away and keeps his distance. Huerta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sofa, pushing him back against the cage. Huerta pulls guard successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huerta can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sofa controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Sofa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sofa cracks Huerta with a solid left hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sofa looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sofa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Sofa stopping the sweep attempt from Huerta. Sofa slips nicely into half guard. Ground and pound from Sofa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sofa stalling.

Huerta stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sofa swats away the attempt to clinch by Huerta. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Huerta.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huerta shoots in but Sofa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Huerta tries to clinch up. Huerta looks for a takedown but Sofa sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Huerta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Huerta is looking to clinch but Sofa is avoiding it.
Huerta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sofa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Huerta checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sofa. Sofa taking a breather here. Huerta is looking to regain half guard here but Sofa keeps moving and retains side control. Sofa scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Huerta to see if he's OK. Huerta tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sofa in side control lands a decent elbow. Huerta is trying to improve his position. Joe Sofa has got the better of the ground game so far. Sofa controlling from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Sofa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Sofa in side control, just content to control the action for now. You can see the frustration on Huerta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
