Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastian Shot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shot. Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shot manages to avoid it. A shot to the liver by Jay. Beautiful body shot. Shot gets a takedown into half guard. Jay taking some punishment here, with Shot in his half guard. Jay is staying active underneath Shot, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Shot landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Shot wants to free his trapped foot but Jay is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shot pulls his head out easily. Jay told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shot in particular looking to stall. Shot seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jay looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shot drops an elbow to the side of Jay's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay looking for submissions off his back. Jay looking for submissions off his back. Shot tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jay knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Shot looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shot throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Shot is working for a kimura but Jay is defending it quite comfortably.
Shot looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Jay is not content to let Shot control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jay actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jay wants to get back to his feet.
Jay on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Shot trying to mount his opponent but Jay defends it. Jay actively working from the bottom here. Shot wants to work for an arm triangle but Jay is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shot is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Shot lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay is squirming around, avoiding Shot's attempts to control the action. Shot prevents Jay from getting the reversal. Jay bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Shot wants to sweep here but Jay controlling him for the moment. Shot looking to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shot is really struggling to control Jay but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sebastian Shot dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Shot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shot misses with a straight left. Jay has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shot looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Shot tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jay avoids it. Jay blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shot wants to get back to striking at distance but Jay won't allow it.
A right hook to the body lands for Jay.
Jay lands a nice shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shot has a couple of punches blocked by Jay.
Jay prevents a body shot from Shot. Shot is trying to force a seperation but Jay has the dominant position. Nice body punch from Jay.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay struggles to land a body shot inside as Shot controls his hands.
Shot wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jay has him pressed against the cage. Jay pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shot looks to land a combination but Jay avoids it well. Shot throws a good cross that connects.
Shot fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shot sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jay quickly recovers to half guard. Jay kicks off Shot and gets to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Shot looks to land a combination. Jay sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A jab from Jay misses. Bee Jay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jay just misses with a punch to the body.
Shot throws a shot from downtown. Jay moves away and avoids it. Donk. Shot catches Jay right on the button with a cross. Jay tries to clinch but Shot moves out of range. Jay scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Shot. Shot misses with an uppercut. Jay saw that one coming. Jay moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Shot misses with the combination.
Shot blocks a leg kick. Shot appears to be looking for a big counter. Jay moves out of range of the leg kick from Shot. Sebastian Shot is winning the standup battle so far. Jay buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shot getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Shot fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jay to the ground. Shot is now in Jay's guard. Jay keeping moving, preventing Shot from controlling successfully. Shot tries to free his leg and advance position but Jay is retaining full guard. Jay is looking to cinch up a triangle. Shot throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jay's body to avoid the submission. Jay has instead reached around Shot's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bee Jay! Bee Jay decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
