Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lean Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pawel Karwowski!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Karwowski has time to react.
Karwowski fails with the takedown.
Lang throws a body punch but Karwowski moves out of range.
Karwowski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lang throws a big counter combination but Karwowski scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Karwowski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lang defends well and Karwowski ends up having to push Lang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lang throwing a counter right hand but Karwowski manages to avoid it.
Karwowski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lean Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pawel Karwowski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karwowski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lang stuffs the takedown attempt from Karwowski. Karwowski gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lang fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Karwowski to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Karwowski looks to clinch but Lang throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Karwowski taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Lean Lang!
After the fight, Lean Lang was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Pawel Karwowski was interviewed post fight and said 'Niestety dziś się nie udało, pozdrawiam !'.
