Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by "Firestarter" by The Prodigy. White has chosen Grim knocking on your Door as his entrance music. Johny Burns had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johny Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gene White! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns tries to land a leg kick but White saw it coming and moves away.
White throws a hook to the side of Burns's head but Burns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Burns takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. White throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Burns misses with a head kick.
White lands with a cross. White stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burns. Burns misses with a low kick as White jumps back. White looks for the body kick but Burns saw that one coming. White lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Burns closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. White bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Burns's head backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burns throws a half hearted mid kick. White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gene White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns tries a head kick but it misses.
White tries to bum rush Burns with a series of wild strikes but Burns uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from White.
White misses with a looping right. White throws a shot from downtown. Burns moves away and avoids it. Burns moves out of range as White strikes. A swing and a miss from White. White tries to clinch but Burns is having none of it. White pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! White's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Burns landing strikes from the mount. Burns looking to finish with strikes here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Burns is going olschool here, as he tries to force White to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so White shrugs it off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. White looks gassed! Burns lands a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns looking to finish White with some ground and pound. This is bad for White! Burns thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. White avoids a series of strikes thrown by Burns.
Burns postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. White looks a forlorn figure.
Burns pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White is in a horrible position here. Burns smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
White blocking the ground and pound. Burns lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
White takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Burns cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. White blocking the ground and pound. A nice elbow there by Burns. Burns punishing his opponent with strikes.
White is rocked! Burns unloading with bombs! White is still in real trouble! Can Burns finish him? Burns working for a submission but White is keeping him at bay. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burns is in the full mount, landing strikes. White seems to have recovered his senses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Burns punching from mount but White doing a good job of avoiding damage. Burns wants to finish this one by submission but White is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Burns. Burns landing shots from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Burns throwing strikes but White bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Burns drops back looking for a leg! White is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and White manages to kick Burns off! Burns jumps back into White's guard. Burns in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johny Burns dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burns throws a head kick that misses. A low kick from White misses and Burns holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. White prevents a takedown attempt there.
White is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johny Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him. White is looking to break free of the clinch but Burns has double underhooks. White gets underhooks to prevent Burns's takedown attempt.
Burns doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A shot in the inside from Burns. Burns is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Burns swings wildly with an uppercut but White uses good head movement to avoid it. Burns is trying to drag White to the mat but White just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. White wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White stops a takedown attempt from Burns.
White wants to get back to striking at distance but Burns won't allow it.
Burns jumps guard but White stands there with Burns around his waist. Burns gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
White prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Burns is trying to drag White to the mat but White just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Burns fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burns looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gene White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Burns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. White might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Burns rushes White and presses him up against the cage. White wants to break free but Burns has control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns tries to score a body lock takedown but White shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Burns has dropped down and is working for a takedown. White is trying to keep an underhook but Burns manages to get the takedown into half guard. Burns is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Burns to get the leverage. Burns is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burns. Both fighters are breathing heavily. White has one foot on Burns's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. White looks to land a combination but Burns avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns throws a looping overhand right but White ducks down to avoid it. Burns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but White swivels and escapes. White throws a right and a left that Burns avoids nicely. Burns uses good head movement to avoid the hook from White. White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from White does no damage. White checks the leg kick. White connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Burns on that attempt. White misses with a wild combination.
White misses with a double jab.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gene White. I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
