Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Zajcev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Luzkhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Zajcev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nikolay Luzkhin!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zajcev tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Luzkhin counter with a right hand.
Zajcev shoots in for a double leg but Luzkhin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Luzkhin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Luzkhin jabs at Zajcev's body.
Zajcev tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Luzkhin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Luzkhin lands a right hook to the body.
Zajcev moves into range and clinches up with Luzkhin.
Luzkhin throws a head punch that misses.
Luzkhin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Luzkhin avoids a wild elbow strike from Zajcev.
Zajcev scores with a nice hook to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luzkhin swings wildly with an uppercut but Zajcev uses good head movement to avoid it.

Luzkhin dips a shoulder and cracks Zajcev with a mighty uppercut! Zajcev falls back against the cage and Luzkhin unloads with a barrage of strikes! Zajcev is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Luzkhin screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikolay Luzkhin!
