Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Gustavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Lisner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustavo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SMOKE SERPENT "Jiu Jitsu". Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Gustavo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michal Lisner! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lisner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gustavo's half guard. Gustavo has one foot on Lisner's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Lisner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gustavo was covering up waiting for the punch and Lisner finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gustavo working a defensive guard here.

Gustavo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gustavo wants to improve his position but instead Lisner has moved into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gustavo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lisner is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gustavo is pressing down on Lisner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gustavo looking to control.
Lisner won't allow Gustavo to get back to his feet. Lisner looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lisner pushing down on Gustavo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lisner not doing much here.

Lisner looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Gustavo is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustavo tries to hold on but Lisner postures up. Gustavo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Lisner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gustavo wants to control but Lisner is keeping busy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gustavo is trying to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Lisner seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Let's hope that Lisner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gustavo wants to improve his position but Lisner is controlling well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gustavo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lisner, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michal Lisner will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gustavo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lisner swivels and escapes. Lisner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gustavo is looking to regain half guard here but Lisner keeps moving and retains side control. Gustavo is working hard here to advance position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gustavo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Gustavo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lisner taking a breather here. Gustavo tries to improve position but can't. Lisner content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Lisner working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lisner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gustavo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lisner controlling the position from side mount. Gustavo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lisner's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lisner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gustavo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustavo wants to get back to full guard but Lisner has passed into side control. Lisner tries to score with some ground and pound. Gustavo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Gustavo struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gustavo being controlled for a moment. Gustavo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lisner remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Michal Lisner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Gustavo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lisner tries to avoid it but Gustavo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lisner to the ground. Lisner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lisner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lisner has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gustavo working a defensive guard here.
Gustavo being controlled here, momentarily. Gustavo is looking to stand back up but Lisner counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gustavo. Gustavo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lisner defending well though. Lisner pushes Gustavo off but Gustavo dives into side control.
Lisner pushes Gustavo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gustavo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Michal Lisner has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustavo trying to control the position but Lisner is working away. Lisner is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gustavo has just dragged him back down to the mat. Lisner gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Lisner is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustavo controlling from the full mount. Gustavo wants to control the pace but Lisner is squirming around nicely. Lisner squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Lisner is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Gustavo trying to control but Lisner is having none of it. Gustavo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Gustavo won't let Lisner get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lisner is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gustavo has taken his back.
Gustavo struggling to land strikes to the head as Lisner covers up. Lisner covering up well under a series of strikes from Gustavo. Gustavo punches the canvas rather than the man. Gustavo misses with an elbow to the head. Lisner is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Lisner tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Gustavo sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Lisner to tap. Impressive finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Luiz Gustavo! Luiz Gustavo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
