Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Wildstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matoshin comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat theme. Wildstein has chosen Bring It On as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wildstein throws a good cross that connects.

Toshi Matoshin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matoshin doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wildstein counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Matoshin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Matoshin manages to end up in side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Matoshin laying and praying for a moment but Wildstein takes advantage and regains half guard.
Matoshin content to control rather than advance.
Matoshin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
