The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hyatt. Custer looking to slow down the pace here. Hyatt misses with a punch to the body.
Hyatt misses with the head strike.
Custer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A head punch blocked on the inside by Custer. Still in the clinch, Hyatt scores with a nice short uppercut. Custer tries to work over Hyatt's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Nice body punch from Custer - that landed with a thud.

Custer misses with a hook from the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hyatt struggles to land a body shot inside as Custer controls his hands.

Jimmy Hyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A shot to the liver by Custer. Beautiful body shot. Hyatt swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hyatt throws a right and a left that Custer avoids nicely. Hyatt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Custer. Custer obviously looking to wear him down.
Custer thows a left - swing and a miss! Custer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hyatt. Hyatt throws a jab but it's blocked by Custer. Hyatt swings for the body but Custer moves out of range.
Custer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Custer slips under a jab from Hyatt. Custer throws a right hand that misses
and Hyatt counters with a three punch combo that has Custer backing up. Custer nods at Hyatt to acknowledge the strikes. Hyatt misses with a hook. Custer throws a sloppy body shot
and Hyatt counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Custer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hyatt moves away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Custer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hyatt checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hyatt is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Custer with a body shot. We've been hearing reports that Custer has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Hyatt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Custer. That did some damage! Hyatt has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Custer throws a big shot that misses. Custer throws a hook but Hyatt blocks it. Hyatt scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Custer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hyatt. Hyatt thuds his right hand into Custer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hyatt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Custer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Custer ducks right into an uppercut from Hyatt. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Custer. Hyatt shrugs it off though. Custer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hyatt appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Hyatt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Custer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hyatt scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Custer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hyatt was well out of range. Poor timing from Custer. Hyatt throws the left hand but Custer avoids the punch easily. Jimmy Hyatt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Custer avoids the body shot from Hyatt.

Hyatt drives through and clinches with Custer against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Custer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hyatt lands an uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hyatt lands with a short head shot on the inside. Custer breaks from the clinch.

It seemed like Hyatt was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hyatt scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Custer throws an overhand right that lands on Hyatt's shoulder, as Hyatt tries to avoid the shot. Custer jabs Hyatt right on the nose. Hyatt blinks but takes it well. Hyatt darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Custer takes one on the button. Hyatt scores with a shot to the body.
Custer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hyatt was well out of range. Poor timing from Custer. Hyatt throws a looping overhand right but Custer ducks down to avoid it. Custer drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hyatt sprawls and moves away. Hyatt wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Hyatt dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Custer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Custer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hyatt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Custer scrambles back to his feet. Custer tries for a takedown but Hyatt circles away easily letting Hyatt counter with a right hand. A big left from Hyatt misses. Hyatt moves away from the strike by Custer. Hyatt darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Custer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Custer slips a straight right by Hyatt. Hyatt throws a jab but it's blocked by Custer. Custer lands a head shot. The fighters circling - Hyatt throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Custer attempts a counter takedown but Hyatt avoids it well and moves away. Custer just misses with a punch to the body.
Hyatt checks a leg kick. Hyatt throws out a counter right but Custer avoids it with no problem. Custer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hyatt. Hyatt pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hyatt fails to land with a series of punches.
Hyatt throws a sloppy head kick and Custer moves out of range easily. Hyatt lands a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Hyatt misses the target. Hyatt has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hyatt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Custer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hyatt. That did some damage! Hyatt looks to land a right hand but Custer moved out of range. Custer feinted with a counter takedown. Custer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Custer swings and misses with a shot to the body and Hyatt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Custer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hyatt misses with a wild body shot. Custer tries to counter with a takedown but Hyatt is quick to defend against it. Hyatt bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Custer's head. Custer tries to move into range but Hyatt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Hyatt throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hyatt throws a head kick that misses. A clash of legs there as Hyatt blocks the low kick. Custer throws the left hand but Hyatt avoids the punch easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyatt stuns Custer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hyatt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Custer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Custer tries to keep at a distance but Hyatt has taken the fight into the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Custer fails to land. Custer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Custer looks to land a right hand but Hyatt moved out of range. Hyatt throws out a counter right but Custer avoids it with no problem. Hyatt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Custer can pounce on him.

Custer drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hyatt sprawls and moves away. Hyatt missing with a left hand there. Custer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Custer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Jimmy Hyatt seems to be getting the better of the standup. A low kick from Hyatt misses and Custer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hyatt's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Custer is stalling in the full guard. Hyatt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Custer trying to control but Hyatt is working from the bottom. Custer throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Hyatt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Custer looks to land a body kick but Hyatt moved away. Hyatt jabbing away but nothing is landing. Custer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Custer misses the shot to the body. Hyatt misses the jab. Hyatt fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Custer on the side of the head. Custer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Custer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hyatt. A leg kick checked by Hyatt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyatt tries to land a front kick but Custer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Custer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Hyatt swings and misses with a shot to the body and Custer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hyatt! Hyatt explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hyatt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Custer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Custer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Custer throwing a counter right hand but Hyatt manages to avoid it. Custer throws a leg kick but Hyatt sees it coming and moves out of range. Hyatt connects with a right hand. Custer shakes it off. An inside leg kick from Custer misses. Jesse Custer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hyatt rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Custer counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hyatt! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sloppy strikes there by Custer. Custer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hyatt to see if he's OK. Custer grinds an elbow into Hyatt's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyatt takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hyatt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Custer has just dragged him back down to the mat. Custer tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Custer working the strikes but Hyatt uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Hyatt taking some punishment here, with Custer in his half guard. Custer is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Hyatt as he works his way to full guard.
Jimmy Hyatt is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Custer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Custer throws a big elbow that misses. Custer won't allow Hyatt to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Hyatt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hyatt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
