Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arthur Briggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jailson Guina!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guina fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Briggs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Guina's calf.
Briggs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Guina has Briggs pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Briggs manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Briggs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Briggs moves into range and clinches up with Guina.
Guina has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Briggs regains guard immediately.
Guina looking to sit in guard and control but Briggs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Briggs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Briggs wants to control from the top but Guina keeps moving.
Briggs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guina has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Briggs has managed to get both his arms back between Guina's legs - danger averted.
Briggs scoring with some ground and pound.

Guina is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Briggs defends well.
Briggs tries to free his leg and advance position but Guina is retaining full guard.
Briggs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Briggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Guina is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Briggs is sitting in close to Guina's body. Guina has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Briggs is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Briggs is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Guina.

Jailson Guina tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
