Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noam Nystrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Mirowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noam Nystrom has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Noam Nystrom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karol Mirowski!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nystrom wants to clinch
and Mirowski makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Nystrom gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Nystrom tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Mirowski dodges an elbow strike from Nystrom.
Mirowski wants a takedown but no success here.

Mirowski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mirowski tightens his grip and picks Nystrom up, before dumping him to the ground. Nystrom manages to land in guard.
Nystrom on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nystrom tries to get out of the position.
Mirowski throws a strike but Nystrom rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Nystrom is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nystrom decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nystrom clinches up with Mirowski and pushes him back against the cage.

Mirowski pulls guard successfully.
Mirowski wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mirowski wants to get back to his feet but Nystrom is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mirowski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nystrom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nystrom is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nystrom drives through and clinches with Mirowski against the cage.

Mirowski manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Nystrom wants to get up but he can't break Mirowski's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nystrom wants to stand but Mirowski has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Nystrom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mirowski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Nystrom gets to his feet. Mirowski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nystrom moves to clinch but Mirowski breaks away

so Mirowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Nystrom is looking to stand back up but Mirowski counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nystrom.

Nystrom is controlling Mirowski's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Mirowski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nystrom won't allow Mirowski to pass to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nystrom wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mirowski in particular looking to stall.

Mirowski seems to be working for a kimura but Nystrom defends the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mirowski is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Karol Mirowski will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Nystrom closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mirowski counters with a three punch combo that has Nystrom backing up. Nystrom nods at Mirowski to acknowledge the strikes.

Mirowski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Nystrom is rocked!
Noam Nystrom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nystrom closes the distance but Mirowski moves to the side
and Mirowski counters with a nice body kick.
Mirowski has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nystrom is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nystrom tries to clinch but Mirowski moves away
and Mirowski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mirowski throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mirowski cracks a nice hook into Nystrom's ribs.
Karol Mirowski seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A head kick by Mirowski - that's a beauty! Nystrom is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Mirowski can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Karol Mirowski!
