Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anakoni Kai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claude LeBlanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kai comes to the cage accompanied by Firestarter. LeBlanc has chosen Professor Green ft. Maverick Sabre - Jungle as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LeBlanc moves out of range as Kai throws a body kick.
LeBlanc tests Kai's chin there with a solid looking shot.
LeBlanc tries to land a front kick but Kai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A swing and a miss from LeBlanc.
Both fighters circling a little - LeBlanc finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kai chopping away at his opponent's legs.
LeBlanc looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kai is fending him off so far but LeBlanc persists. Nope, Kai circles away and we're back to standing.

Kai throws a quick counter head kick but LeBlanc was just out of range.

and Kai counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps LeBlanc thinking.
LeBlanc misses with an uppercut.
Kai lands a nice hook to LeBlanc's body. LeBlanc takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
LeBlanc throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kai sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kai connects with a crisp jab.
Kai lands a body shot.
Kai misses with a wild body shot.
Kai slips a straight right by LeBlanc.
Kai throws a low kick but LeBlanc avoids it.

Kai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LeBlanc circles away quickly and effectively.

A slapping body kick lands there for Kai.
Kai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kai swings and misses with a hook to the body.
LeBlanc looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kai takes a swing at LeBlanc's ribcage but misses.

LeBlanc is looking to chop away at Kai's legs.
A slow jab from LeBlanc misses its intended target.
Kai motions for LeBlanc to come forward. Kai throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That kick from Kai tenderised LeBlanc's leg. LeBlanc is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kai misses with a body kick.
A cross from Kai lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kai gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kai bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps LeBlanc's head backwards.
LeBlanc throws a sloppy head kick and Kai moves out of range easily.
Kai fires out a quick counter leg kick but LeBlanc just manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anakoni Kai dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

LeBlanc lunges at Kai with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kai's hand.
LeBlanc walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kai checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kai misses with a wild body shot.
Kai is looking to wear down LeBlanc with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
LeBlanc misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kai appears to be looking for a big counter.
Kai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
LeBlanc swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kai.
LeBlanc will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A little jabbing left from LeBlanc on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A punch lands to the side of LeBlanc 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kai lands with a nice body punch.
LeBlanc jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Donk. Kai catches LeBlanc right on the button with a cross.
Kai keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from LeBlanc.
Kai throws a head kick that misses.
LeBlanc looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Kai counters with an inside leg kick.
Kai lands a lovely overhand right.
Kai looks to land a combination but LeBlanc avoids it well.

Nice defenses there by Kai.
Kai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
LeBlanc connects with a looping right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kai pivots, looking for a leg kick but LeBlanc is out of range and Kai settles back down.
Kai takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Anakoni Kai is winning the standup battle so far.
Kai blocks a leg kick.
And Kai counters with a quick kick to the body but LeBlanc blocks it.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kai has cracked LeBlanc with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kai lands another huge swinging hook and LeBlanc tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save LeBlanc, before Kai can land any more shots!
