Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tal Gator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam McGeary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tal Gator has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tal Gator! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Liam McGeary! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gator fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGeary to the ground. Gator is now in McGeary's guard. Gator stands up and waves to McGeary to follow him. Gator looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A decent looking body kick lands there for McGeary. McGeary buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McGeary misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gator closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gator lands in his opponent's guard. Gator seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McGeary working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gator doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gator manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gator keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McGeary's head. Gator got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGeary has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gator has managed to get both his arms back between McGeary's legs - danger averted. Gator wants to control from the top but McGeary keeps moving. McGeary working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gator doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gator manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McGeary is working an open guard so Gator takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A slapping body kick lands there for McGeary.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGeary feints and then cracks Gator's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gator down. Gator shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGeary's guard. Gator got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGeary has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gator has managed to get both his arms back between McGeary's legs - danger averted. Gator sitting in guard, not really doing much. Gator drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gator jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gator drops back looking for a leg! McGeary is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McGeary manages to kick Gator off! Gator jumps back into McGeary's guard. Gator drops back looking for a leg! McGeary is in trouble here! That's three minutes gone in the round. McGeary is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gator is aware though and is defending well. McGeary looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gator thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McGeary is trying to control the position but Gator postures up. McGeary has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gator can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McGeary is working an open guard so Gator takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gator shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gator is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGeary doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gator. McGeary wants to improve his position but Gator is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gator closes the distance and pushes McGeary back into the cage. McGeary tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gator smiles and moves away.
Gator is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGeary can do to turn this around? McGeary tries to land a front kick but Gator steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. McGeary throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Gator fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGeary to the ground. Gator is now in McGeary's guard. Gator working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Tal Gator overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gator drops back for a leg! McGeary had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gator defends it easily.

Gator drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gator jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gator drops back looking for a leg! McGeary is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McGeary manages to kick Gator off! Gator jumps back into McGeary's guard. McGeary looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Gator is defending well. McGeary quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Gator has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! McGeary celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Liam McGeary! A relieved looking Liam McGeary thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
