The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Granger connects with a single shot there.
Granger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Granger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Granger connects with a right hand. Haapasaari shakes it off.
Granger lands a big right hand that sends Haapasaari crashing to the mat! Granger stays standing though and waves Haapasaari back to his feet!
Haapasaari is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Granger cracks Haapasaari with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Haapasaari tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Granger pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Haapasaari is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Granger!
