Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Palmeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gus McKenna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Frankie Palmeri! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gus McKenna! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenna misses with an uppercut
and Palmeri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Palmeri misses with a body shot.
McKenna cracks a nice hook into Palmeri's ribs. McKenna throws a solid leg kick but Palmeri takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McKenna. McKenna throws a leg kick that is checked and Palmeri counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for McKenna! Sloppy strikes there by Palmeri. McKenna is trying to control Palmeri's posture but Palmeri avoids it. Palmeri lands some shots froms side control. McKenna is trying to control Palmeri's posture but Palmeri avoids it. Sloppy strikes there by Palmeri. McKenna managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Palmeri.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Palmeri. McKenna tries to buck Palmeri off but Palmeri is having none of it. Palmeri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Palmeri working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palmeri misses with the ground and pound. McKenna defending against the ground and pound. McKenna takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
It looks like Gus McKenna has been cut. McKenna looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McKenna struggling a bit here. McKenna on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Palmeri working away. Palmeri tries to score with some ground and pound. McKenna controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Palmeri misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Palmeri advances nicely into full mount. McKenna can't escape the position.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gus McKenna's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
