Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riordon Mohamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riordon Mohamed has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Desmond Lynch's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riordon Mohamed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mohamed closes the distance and clinches.
Mohamed content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Mohamed has Lynch pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mohamed pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lynch tumbling to the mat - Mohamed dives into Lynch's guard.
Lynch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mohamed is one step ahead there.

Mohamed gets to his feet - Lynch follows without any prompting.

Mohamed shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lynch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lynch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lynch looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mohamed has picked Lynch up and slammed him! Lynch can't keep hold of the triangle and Mohamed manages to pass to side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mohamed has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lynch uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mohamed drags the fight down to the ground.
Lynch preventing the sweep.
Mohamed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lynch wants to stand but Mohamed has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mohamed wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mohamed working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Let's hope that Mohamed has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Lynch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mohamed is proving hard to escape from.

Well Mohamed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
